President Jonathan Vows to Stop Handling Terrorism with ‘Kid Gloves’

President Goodluck Jonathan has vowed to intensify efforts to exterminate terrorist group, Boko Haram. The President announced this mission on Thursday, at the Conference Hall of the Namibia State House in Windhoek, during the course of his two-day bilateral visit.
Speaking with Namibian President, Hifikepunye Pohamba, President Jonathan said that his administration had initially handled Nigeria’s terrorism challenge with ‘kid gloves.’ He declared that henceforth, his administration will tackle terrorism more aggressively.

Photos: Lady dies in accident just a month to her wedding

29 year old Juliet Igbinoba (pictured above with fiance) died in a fatal motor accident on Monday 17th of March along the Lagos-Benin road just a month before her wedding. Juliet was planning to get married on April 19th; invitation have been sent out and preparation was in top gear before she met her untimely death while going home to meet her people over her forthcoming wedding.

Pres. Jonathan nominates Zainab Bulkachuwa as Court of Appeal President

President Goodluck Jonathan this afternoon nominated Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa to become the President of the Second Highest Court in Nigeria, the Appeal Court. The President sent her name to the senate for ratification, after which she would be confirmed and sworn-in.

Justice Bulkachuwa prior to this nomination has been serving in acting capacity as the president of the court since November 2012 when Justice Dalhatu Adamu retired from Office.

19 Redeemed Church Members Burnt To Death On Their Way From Prayer Camp

A multiple crash on the Potiskum-Maiduguri highway, involving three vehicles on Monday killed 35 people, including 19 church members on their way back from Lagos where they attended a religious meeting.
