Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: Women Accept being Ignored – on Gender, Race & Love

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s schedule is probably more full than most filling stations in the metropolitan city of Lagos because of the scarcity of fuel.

The Nigerian author has been promoting her third novel “Americanah” all month long and will kick off her Half of a Yellow Sun promo tour soon.

Emma Brockes of The Guardian US, caught up with the 36-year old award winning fiction writer in New York for a quick chat. Emma asks about the book which focuses on gender, race, and *don’t roll your eyes* – team natural.

The Governor of Rivers State who is no stranger to rocking designer duds (click here to see) arrived looking suave in a floral blazer from Gucci‘s Spring 2014 collection.

Instead of the graphic print pants,  he styled the blazer with a shawl lapel, with navy pants, a white T-shirt and black shoes.

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Paul Emeka, has been suspended from the church over allegations of misconduct, highhandedness and financial misappropriation in the administration of the church, National Mirror reports.

President Jonathan Vows to Stop Handling Terrorism with ‘Kid Gloves’

President Goodluck Jonathan has vowed to intensify efforts to exterminate terrorist group, Boko Haram. The President announced this mission on Thursday, at the Conference Hall of the Namibia State House in Windhoek, during the course of his two-day bilateral visit.
